Description

The Fluke 438-II Power Quality Analyzer & Motor Analyzer is a dual-purpose instrument designed for professionals who need to evaluate three-phase power quality while simultaneously assessing the mechanical performance of electric motors. Available to rent or hire, it helps maintenance engineers, energy auditors and facility managers pinpoint electrical issues, quantify energy losses and verify motor efficiency without invasive mechanical sensors.

Combining the proven power quality functions of Fluke’s 430 Series II platform with advanced motor analysis algorithms, the 438-II captures key electrical parameters—voltage, current, harmonics, dips, swells and transients—then calculates torque, speed (RPM), mechanical power and overall efficiency of rotating machines. Compliance with IEC 61000-4-30 Class A ensures traceable, high-accuracy results, while the Energy Loss Calculator converts findings into real-world cost and CO2 impact estimates.

Key Features:

  • Integrated Motor Analysis: Calculates torque, mechanical power, RPM and efficiency directly from electrical measurements—no tachometer or torque sensor required.
  • Comprehensive Power Quality Monitoring: Logs voltage, current, frequency, power factor, harmonics, dips, swells and transients for three-phase systems.
  • IEC 61000-4-30 Class A Compliance: Delivers internationally recognised accuracy for troubleshooting and reporting.
  • Energy Loss Calculator: Translates measured inefficiencies into quantified energy costs and potential savings.
  • Automatic Trend & Event Capture: Records waveforms and trends continuously, simplifying root-cause analysis of intermittent problems.
  • Large Colour Touchscreen: Intuitive interface speeds on-site diagnostics and reduces training time.

Why Choose the Fluke 438-II Power Quality Analyzer & Motor Analyzer?

  • Trusted Fluke accuracy for simultaneous electrical and mechanical diagnostics.
  • Non-intrusive testing saves time and eliminates the need for additional sensors.
  • Actionable data that links power quality, motor performance and energy costs in one report.
