Commencing operations in 1974, initially providing repair services for electronic test and measuring equipment and soon after, rental, Tech-Rentals quickly grew and today the TR Group embraces the largest rental organisation for test and measurement instruments, business equipment, computers and voice communications equipment in the Southern Hemisphere as well as satellite telecommunication systems servicing professionals and communities in the most remote locations.

TR’s service facilities are equipped with the latest test equipment and staffed by industry qualified personnel amongst the best in Australia who operate in an ISO 9001:2000 quality management system.
All rental assets undergo periodic calibration and routine maintenance in accordance with manufacturer recommendations to ensure high reliability for each and every rental application.
Though unlikely, in the event of technical difficulties, the support team will pull out all stops to provide a solution to the problem with minimum disruption to the client’s project.

The rental inventory is managed as an international pool and is available to customers wherever they are through a sophisticated database enquiry system called TRace. This system enables realtime allocation of the most suitable equipment for each individual application and customer need.
In order to deploy equipment to match customer priorities and urgent needs one of several delivery options are available for the most efficient outcome using local couriers, national air and road couriers and sometimes even taxis. Equipment can usually be despatched within an hour for most urgent requirements.
Recognising that rental is often a solution for unplanned events, TR is structured to answer the ‘call’. Overall quality, operational efficiency and customer focus are balanced to ensure that the clients’ needs are satisfied within the required timescale.

The IS0 9001:2000 (Australian Branches) quality management policy on pre-delivery configuration requires detailed testing to ensure full operational status of all components at the time of shipping. Eliminating ‘failure loops’ is an important aspect in our logistics management to avoid where possible, equipment replacement incidents.
A multi-location disaster r ecovery policy and duplicated IT systems ensure reliability of service and deployment to meet customer needs even in extreme circumstances.
Product training and business practice training are specified within our IS0 9001:2000 system requiring regular review of employee skills and training as new equipment and technology is acquired.
